Congratulations to all of the students who performed and/or received acknowledgment at Tuesday’s Cultural Assembly. It was wonderful seeing so many Middle School students representing the vibrant cultural life of St Luke’s Anglican School through music and performance. It is also a testament to our amazing Performing Arts staff who give so much of their time to share their outstanding knowledge and experience with our students.
Year 8 Camp
This week, our Year 8 students participated in an eco-challenge as part of our outdoor education program. From all accounts, the students have had an amazing time, embracing the many opportunities and challenges that they encountered over the four days. Thank you to Mrs Thorne, Mrs Gill, Mrs Warren and Mr Kersnovske who accompanied and supported our Year 8 students throughout the camp.
Interim Reports will be published in Parent Lounge on Monday 23 September.
Non Uniform Day – Friday 6 September 2019
On Friday 6 September there will be a non-uniform day for all students in Primary to Year 12. As this week is National Child Protection Week, and the theme is “Navigating Waters”, we would ask all students to come dressed in a Nautical Theme to support this very important cause.
The day is to raise funds supporting the Smith Family and the Leukaemia Foundation and their work with children. There will be a $2 charge for wearing “free dress” on this day. Money will be collected from students during Pastoral Care or at the beginning of their day. As this is a school day, with regular classes, it is important that dress codes are observed for safety reasons.
