What’s happened since the last time?
It’s all been going on behind the scenes over the last couple of weeks as the P&F Executive Committee continue to deal with day to day business. If you want to come along to any of our meetings, you would be most welcome and you can have an opportunity to influence decisions. For example, one of the ongoing discussion items is the development of the P&F cookbook to celebrate St Luke's 25th Anniversary.
Are you looking to advertise your business and help a good cause at the same time? Then look no further than the P&F calendar. We have one month left to sponsor, yes, that’s right, just one month. If you would like to sponsor September 2019, then please contact Clare on 0424932830.
Wish list funding
Christmas came early once again to our hard working teachers. Thanks to all those who have contributed to P&F fund raising. Your contributions, both big and small, are used to buy school equipment and experiences to enhance and extend our children’s learning. Each year, teachers put in bids for a share of the money and on the 12th of September, the Executive Committee met to approve this year’s list. This year, we had $10,000 to gift and examples of some of the projects we funded are $2,500 towards the purchase of a “Little Bits Pro Library” which is a collection of hundreds of electronic components and devised to allow students from years 5 to 8 to design and build their own ‘inventions’ and enhance teaching in Science/Technology/Engineering and Maths (STEM). We contributed $2,500 for guided reading materials for prep students and contribution of $700 to help Year 11 hospitality students work experience in a 5 star hotel in Melbourne.
