5 Selected for QLD

Congratulations to the following five St Luke's athletes who's been selected to represent the Queensland Schools Athletics team to compete at the Australian All Schools National Championships in Perth from 6-8 December:

Mania Konopka - u18 Girls 400m Hurdles
Hendré Kirchner - u18 Boys Javelin
Jano Kirchner - u16 Boys Javelin
Dehan Pretorius - u16 Boys 800m & Long Jump Multi-Class
Ben Savidge - u18 Boys Long Jump Multi-Class

Matthew Wins All Schools Triathlon

Congratulations to Matthew Thomas for winning the Junior Age Group at All Schools Triathlon in Kawana this past weekend.

Barrett Brothers Perform at Surf Lifesaving

Well done to Isaac and Lachlan Barrett for their recent achievements in Surf Lifesaving. After competing in Mackay this weekend, Isaac got selected into the Queensland Country (u13-u17) Team, with Lachlan named as a reserve.

Chess Tournament October 2019

Congratulations to the Middle and Senior School students who participated in the Bundaberg Chess Club’s annual School’s Chess Tournament. All students played well and demonstrated terrific spirit and sportsmanship.

Special mentions go to St Luke’s Team 1, consisting of Calvin Vickers, Lachlan Hocking, Nelson Brown and Stephen Mondia, who took home the trophy for winning secondary team.  Additionally, Nelson also won third place in the individual standings.
